Deposit Policy

A $2,500 deposit will be requested from you prior to the reservation date and will be held on your credit card until the return of the rental vehicle. Deposit will be released after the return of the rental vehicle less any incidental charges incurred (gas, additional miles, tolls, unpaid citations, insurance deductible, rental extensions or all other applicable fees per the accepted terms of the rental agreement).

After Hours Car Pick-up or Drop-Off

Our Business Hours are Monday – Saturday 08:00 – 17:00. We accommodate rentals after normal business hours Monday – Saturday and on Sundays. An after hours fee of $499 will apply to all reservations that require delivery or pick-up after normal business hours.

Supplemental Liability Insurance - SLI

Supplemental Liability Insurance is an optional coverage that protects the rentee against third party liability claims as a result of an accident while the rentee was operating the rental auto. SLI provides excess coverage over the underlying insurance / or self insured statutory limits required in the executed and signed rental agreement. SLI DOES NOT PROVIDE PRIMARY LIABILITY COVERAGE TO THE RENTEE. SLI covers the difference up to $1000,000.00 CSL in excess of the limits of liability provided by all underlying insurance available or statutory limits. The purchase of optional insurance products is not required to rent the Vehicle. Optional insurance products that we sell may provide coverage that duplicates coverage provided by your personal automobile liability policy or by another source of coverage. We are not qualified to evaluate the extent of your existing auto liability coverage. Optional insurance products are provided under individual policies issued to you, or issued to you under a group or master policy issued to us by an insurer authorized to transact the applicable insurance business in the State of California.

Renters Liability Protection - RLP

Renter must provide proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage to cover liability damage to third parties and property. Renters Liability Protection provides statutory limits to the renter, ensuring that the renter is covered for third party liability claims in California to the state statutory limits of $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident and $5,000 for property damage.

Collision Damage Waiver - CDW

Renter is responsible and liable for all damage to the rented vehicle, irrespective of fault and must provide proof of full coverage auto insurance that extends to the rented vehicle and that will cover damage to the full value of the rented vehicle and loss of use of the rental vehicle while it is being repaired. Purchase of CDW will satisfy renters responsibility for collision damage to the rented vehicle, provided the renter complies with the terms of the rental agreement.

Insurance Requirements

1) Renter must provide an existing, current insurance policy which must be a minimum of at least one year old showing proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage to cover liability for damage to third parties and property or purchase our RLP (Renters Liability Protection ) to satisfy this requirement.
2) Renter must provide an existing, current insurance policy which must be a minimum of at least one year old showing proof of full coverage auto insurance that extends to the rented vehicle and that will cover damage to the full value of the rented vehicle and loss of value and loss of use of the rental vehicle while it is being repaired or purchase our collision damage waiver to satisfy this requirement or check coverages offered by their credit cards or third party travel insurances like www.ICarHireInsurance.com

Personal Accident Insurance - PAI

Personal Accident Coverage (PAI) provides renter and passenger with limited medical expense coverage and limited personal effects (PEC) coverage. The purchase of optional insurance products is not required to rent the Vehicle. Optional insurance products that we sell may provide coverage that duplicates coverage provided by your personal automobile liability policy or by another source of coverage. We are not qualified to evaluate the extent of your existing auto liability coverage. Optional insurance products are provided under individual policies issued to you, or issued to you under a group or master policy issued to us by an insurer authorized to transact the applicable insurance business in the State of California. .

Renter's Requirements

1) Renter must present a valid original drivers license from country of residence and an international drivers license to serve as a translation if the country drivers license is not in English.
2) Renter must provide a major credit card in the name of renter that can accommodate an authorization of the full amount of the rental plus a minimum deposit of $2,500
3) Renter must provide proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage ( insurance policy must be a minimum of a year old. Due to insurance reasons, policies less than a year old will not be accepted. ) to cover liability damage to third parties and property.
For our foreign renters, we offer a choice of liability products ( RLP, SLI, PAI, ML package) that can be purchased to satisfy this requirement.
4) Renter must provide proof of full coverage auto insurance (insurance policy must be a minimum of a year old. Due to insurance reasons, policies less than a year old will not be accepted. ) that extends to the rented vehicle and that will cover damage to the full value of the rented vehicle, loss of value and loss of use of the rental vehicle while it is being repaired. Our foreign renters may purchase waivers to satisfy this requirement or check coverages offered by their credit cards or third party travel insurances like www.ICarHireInsurance.com

Requirements to Purchase our waivers.

Due to insurance reasons renter must be currently insured by an existing policy no newer than a year old. Renter must show proof of full coverage auto insurance from his country of residence ( even though policy will not extend to the rental car) in order to be eligible to purchase our waivers.

Rental Agreement

A renter is only permitted to operate a rented vehicle from us by securing a signed, current rental agreement contract that contains the breakdown of the terms of the rental ( namely total rate, dates and times of pick up and return and other applicable terms)

If the renter requires to keep the car longer, the renter needs to negotiate a new contract prior to expiration of the existing contract.

Rental extensions are not guaranteed.

Rental extensions are new contracts and are subject to availability, rate changes etc.

Vehicle Choice

Exclusive Car Rental cannot guarantee specific makes, models and colors of vehicles reserved and we reserve the right to substitute for similar makes, models and colors. Please call or e-mail your specific make, model and color requirements.

Car Return Condition

Absolutely no pets allowed in the rental car, any sign of pet presence will trigger a minimum $150 interior detail fee ( maximum charges can be in the thousands of dollars depending on severity ).

Renter will be charged a minimum fee of $150 for vehicles returned in a condition that requires more than a regular car wash to clean ( maximum charges may be in the thousands of dollars depending on severity ).

Absolutely no smoking permitted in the rental car. A minimum $1000 fee plus loss of use plus loss in value ( can add up to thousands of dollars ) will be assessed for cars that have been smoked in.

Some examples of cars that need more than a regular car wash to clean are the following;
1] Food, coffee and/or soda stains in cup holders.
2] Fast food, loose change, ash between cars seats.
3] Cigarettes or ash in ashtray - Absolutely no smoking permitted in all our rental cars.
4] Cars that are smoked in.
5] Excessive exterior dirt due to dried bugs on front bumper or sand under wheel wells.
6] Presence of pet hair in vehicle.

Fuel

Refueling of gas and recharging of electric vehicles is renters responsibility. Our refuel rate is $9.95 per gallon plus a $25 service fee. Our recharge rate is $9.95 per 15 miles of charge plus a $25 service fee.

One Way Rentals

One way vehicle pick up and drop off is permitted throughout our service area at a minimum of $7 per mile one way.

Acccident Policy

For insurance reasons and your own protection, you must file a police report in the event of an accident to document your statement of the facts. Please contact us promptly @ +1-310-534-3257 to report and to furnish us with all pertinent information related to the accident. Renter is responsible for all damage to the rental vehicle, loss of value to the rental vehicle, loss of use of the rental vehicle and damage caused to third parties.

Age Requirements

Minimum Age: 21
Renters must be a minimum of 21 years old. A surcharge applies to all renters between the ages of 21 through 24 years old.

Additional Drivers

Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21

Only drivers named on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the rental vehicle, and are subject to the same requirements as the primary renter. Driving the rented vehicle without being named on the rental agreement will void the rental agreement and any waivers. Additional drivers may be added to your rental agreement at any time by fulfilling the "renters requirements".

Cancelation Policy

The total reservation amount refunded for cancelled reservations will depend on the time of cancellation. 100% of the total reservation price will be refunded for reservations cancelled within 3 hours of booking. 75% of the total reservation price will be refunded for reservations cancelled more than 30 days prior to rental start date. 50% of the total reservation price will be refunded for reservations cancelled between 15 to 29 days prior to rental start date. 25% of the total reservation price will be refunded for reservations cancelled between 2 to 14 days prior to rental start date. 0% of the total reservation price will be refunded for reservations cancelled within 2 days of rental start date.

Insurance and Coverage

You are responsible for all collision damage to the Vehicle, even if someone else caused it or the cause is unknown. You are responsible for the cost of repair up to the value of the Vehicle, towing, storage, and impound fees. Your own insurance, or the issuer of the credit card you use to pay for the rental may cover all or part of your financial responsibility for damage to, or loss of, the rented vehicle. You should check with your insurance company, or credit card issuer, to find out about your coverage and the amount of deductible, if any, for which you may be liable. If you use a credit card that provides coverage for your responsibility for damage to, or loss of, the Vehicle, you should check with the issuer to determine whether or not you must first exhaust the coverage limits of your own insurance before the credit card coverage applies. We will not hold you responsible for damage caused by collision or upset if you buy Collision Damage Waiver ("CDW"). But, CDW will not protect you if you: a) operate the vehicle in a willful, wanton or reckless manner; b) operate the vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in violation of Section 23152 of the California Vehicle Code; c) use the vehicle to tow or push anything; d) operate the vehicle on unpaved roads where the damage is a direct result of driving on unpaved roads; e) use the vehicle for commercial hire; f) use the vehicle in connection with any conduct that could properly be charged as a felony; g) use the vehicle in a speed contest or driver training activity; h) operate the vehicle outside the United States; i) if the vehicle is operated by someone other than an authorized driver; OR j) provide fraudulent information to obtain the vehicle or provide false information at the time of rental, and we would not have rented the vehicle if we had received true information.
